Kayaking Tours

Outside Expeditions has offered kayak tours to suit all ages, experience levels and tastes since 1993. Choose from day trips of 90 minutes, 2 hours or 3 hours from two locations, North Rustico or Brudenell; or join us for a pampered kayak trip from inn-to-inn, with the finest food and accommodation imaginable.

We employ primarily local guides, whose in-depth knowledge of the Island's natural and cultural history will add to your kayaking experience. A number of our guides are bilingual - please call ahead if you would like to request a French-speaker on your tour.

Day Trips
Our North Rustico location, at the mouth of a working fishing harbour, is just a short paddle from the tall sandstone cliffs of PEI National Park. Endless sand beaches, bright red cliffs, and grassy dunes are typical of this area.

In Brudenell Provincial Park, a more sheltered environment, there is great birdwatching and leisurely paddling along wooded shores. Brudenell offers both kayak rentals and tours.

Multiday Trips
Almost nowhere else can you kayak from one 4-star inn to the next, enjoying fine dining each evening and gentle exercise all day. Mix it up with some biking for a multisport vacation, or try camping along the barrier islands of the North Shore. PEI's warm waters and sandy beaches make for an easy introduction to overnight kayak trips.

Rentals

Recreational kayaks and canoes are readily available for rent at our Brudenell Provincial Park location. Both double and single kayaks are available.

Sea kayaks are available for rent to experienced paddlers only in our North Rustico location, ie those able to do a self or assisted rescue in the event of a capsize.
