From those who have never been on the water to those who’d like to perfect their roll, we can offer a clinic to suit. Courses follow Paddle Canada guidelines and are nationally recognized.
Learn to Kayak: 90 mins/By reservation/$49
The basics for comfortable safe paddling. From paddling techniques and small-craft safety to choosing a kayak that fits. This is the perfect entry point into sea kayaking.
Advanced Skills: 2 hours/By reservation/$65
Tailored lesson specifically to your interests. Self rescue, assisted rescues, surf launches and landings, rolling, recovery strokes, edging, braces – come talk to us about what you’d like to learn and we’ll make it happen.
Introduction to Sea Kayak Skills: 8 hours /By reservation/$150
With Paddle Canada’s certified Introduction to Sea Kayak Skills course, the basics of kayak handling, fit, navigation and strokes are covered: forward stroke, back stroke, sweep strokes, draw strokes, and braces. Get rid of those bad habits before they start, build confidence, and learn how easy it can be to paddle efficiently and safely.
Level One Sea Kayaking Skills: 2 days/June 17-18/2017/$300
Paddle Canada’s certified Level One Sea Kayaking Skills builds on basic strokes and introduces refinements. Skills covered include forward stroke, back stroke, sweep strokes, draw strokes, sculling stroke, edging, and braces. Kayak handling, fit and basic navigation are also covered. We spend quite a bit of time on rescues, so that you’ll be proficient at various types of self and assisted rescues. A wetsuit is recommended.
Rolling Clinic: 2 hrs/By reservation/$65
If you want to build on your paddling and kayak rescue/safety skills or just show off to your friends this course is for you. Taught by a Paddle Canada certified indstructor with sea kayak and white water skills and experience. Get out and give it a try you never know what new tricks you can learn.
